Pamela Heemskerk Hefley is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, poetry, book arts, and time-based media. Her work explores psychological motifs in interior spaces, figures, and landscapes, using symbols and gestures to craft a rich visual language that invites reflection on impermanence, Nature, Beauty, and feminine power. Using the camera, words, book art, and printmaking, her work is an ode to attention.
Pam holds an MFA in Photography from Maine Media College and an MS in Counseling Psychology from the University of Memphis. Her work has been juried into the Chico Photobook Review, receiving the Merit Scholarship Award in 2020, juried into Critical Mass in 2018, and is exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, including at Blackrock Center for the Arts, Pyramid Atlantic, and The Griffen Museum. Her project, (dis)enchantment, will be shown at Hood College, The Hodgson Gallery in 2026.
